Car biding AI is out of wack

this was before and after the patch but the auction AI is insane car was worth 100K AI bid all the way up to 240K before i got it. was not a modded car I belive it was a hellcat in 1 or 2 star state. srsly needs a look at

Yea I just did my first auction last night... I finally unlocked all the things to repair stuff so I went to an auction so I could get a car to fix up and I did EVERY single car and they all went over the estimated price they were worth.. it's pretty stupid honestly.. completely insane..

Same issue than CMS2018. One or two bidders would always bid after you, endlessly, or 2-3 times in a row, even when nobody actually bid. Complete turn off.

just do junkyard for a while and you might get lucky at auction i only do auction to get some of the high end or modded cars now

Yea,,,,,,,,,,,,,,also if you don't bid some of the cars go for way UNDER estimate. I let the AI bid
and it stopped 15k under value!!

Before the last patch the Auctionhouse worked pretty well for me, usually about 3 or 4 grand a car without major work, or quite a bit more with a complete rebuild or tune. After this new update the AI bids up to 150% of the estimated value, which in return means you pretty much cant make profit off of these cars unless you get a 1-Star Car and rebuild it all the way.

I was lucky to play a lot before this patch to make a chunk of money, but now its just useless lol. Barn finds, Junkyard and Auctionhouse cars are all going over the actual value.

I’ve only bid on one car so far, got it for 45k it was a typhoon. About 90% repair state. I think I got lucky though, lol.

That thing handles beatifully on the race track, without performance parts. Which I guess makes sense since it’s a race car, lol.

So far it was the only car I’ve wanted from the auctions, so I’m not sure if the next one will be ridiculous.

Quite often the AI is bidding ridiculous prices. 4 times today, it's gone 20K over the value of the vehicle. It's nuts. I have tons of cash, but if I were to start over, I have no idea how I would be able to afford it.

I've basically resorted to barn finds.. I just buy the cheapest of the 3 cars, rebuild the whole thing and can usually make about 30K profit. I have yet to win a single auction.

The bidding AI has DEFINITELY changed since they added more cars to the junker auction.

The bidding used to be reasonable, particularly on 1 and 2 star cars, but now the AI goes crazy - Today I had it go to 75K for a 1 star Atlanta FFS! The car was barely an empty rusted shell with about 5 usable parts!

So I went through each and every config file and manually added the Junkyard and Shed to the list for every vehicle, took a while, but now at least I can pick up cars in the Junkyard for a sometimes reasonable price.

Went to Auction, bid on 11 cars. 10 of them went over 125% of value, 6 of those went over 160%. I bought 1 car out of 11 attempts. Just last week I would have left with at least half of those cars for under the value. BROKEN. I may pause playing until they fix this.

Well...... I just tried another Auction and BLAMMO! Got Ferrari under value, got Lambo under value, got GTR $2000 over value and grabbed a Buick Wildcat for $1500 over value. LOL. What the heck? No patch I'm aware of. 4 out of 4 - Got 'Em! So I guess this is just bad luck if getting outbid like crazy? One thing is for sure - Bender will be doing plenty of additional testing. C'mere Mercedes AMG.
