Same car, same parts, different prices. Can anyone explain it to me please ?
This might be a longer post so please bare with me.

I've got 2 almost identical cars in the shop, Ribbsan Starline MISO:

Both cars have 100% condition, meaning absolutely all parts on each car are at 100%;
Both cars have the same engine, I6 DOHC BU2 Turbo;
Both cars have all the pieces with no stars (no upgrades), just regular pieces;
Both cars have exactly the same body parts, specifically both have all the available tuned body parts available installed, the rest just regular parts.

The first car is taken from a barn in an earlier patch of the game:

The second car is taken from the auction house in the current patch, 1.0.7.hf4:

As you can see the old car from the barn has a higher price on the "parts value" and the "body value", yet the newer car has way more tuned parts installed.

The old car has a higher price for the body parts, yet both cars have exactly the same 100% fixed body parts.

How come the exactly same car model have such differences in prices, meaning a newer car with less mileage and an extra ~8000 extra tuned parts have lower values in terms of 'parts value' and 'body value' ?

Note: I was very careful when taking screenshots and they are not misplaced or anything.

Can it be that prices differ for different sources, aka barn versus auction ? Makes no sense to me.

Or could it be that the old car was from an earlier patch of the game and values somehow changed since then ? I even unmounted some parts from the old car and checked the values, put them back in and things did not change.

The only explanation I could think of is that tuned parts do not count in the 'parts value' category and are only counted in the 'performance parts value' category. Still that does not explain the 'body parts' difference.

Kilometers also influence prices , i see you don't count with that .

Well, I did, the car with lower prices has lower mileage. I would've thought the lower the mileage the higher the prices, not the other way around...

i see the car with more km with lower price and the one with less km with higher price , or you place the pictures wrong ? check the 4 last pictures 183.514km value 102.215CR and 148.178km value 107.176CR , so what i see here is the car with more km has lower value on sell .

I did not place the screenshots wrong. The newer car (148.178km) has an extra ~8000 CR in tuned parts. The final price does not reflect that. The difference between the 2 cars is roughly ~5000 CR, not even close to 8000.
I mean it's not game-breaking or anything, but I like math just a little bit to ask myself some questions here.

Not reflect because of KM , even if they not shown the KM on sell it influence final values , but it's my point of view of course .

So it would be nice if KM could be included on sell and how they influence the final value , maybe they can add that for everyone can understand where goes the not reflected values in final value .

But just a suggestion of course

Well I do share your opinion, KM (mileage) does influence the final price. That's why I got the newer car from the auction. And that's why I can't explain why a newer car with extra tuned parts has such a small difference in price compared to the older car.

yeah in that matter about tuned parts maybe are not beeing well reflected somehow , but game has only few weeks , so maybe they can fix that in future hf .

And that's exactly what I was trying to point out :D

Tuned parts are not calculated to "parts value" but "performance parts" value. You can see that on your both cars. That is what tuned car have higher overall price.

Thanks a lot for clarifying where the tuned parts are being calculated. Not to be a jackass, but that still leaves me with 2 questions:

1) the car with higher mileage has a higher price for the body parts (yet both cars have exactly identical body parts). I would've expected that the car with lower mileage to have a higher price on the body parts.

2) the difference between the car prices is lower than the value of added tuned parts on the car with lower mileage:
- old car -> 183.514km -> final price : 102.215CR (tuned parts ~400)
- new car -> 148.178km -> final price : 107.176CR (tuned parts ~8500)

--> the difference in price is roughly 5000, yet the new car has over 8000 in tuned parts. For now I'll think the ~3000 difference is actually the price of the regular pieces installed on the old car in place of the tuned parts on the new car.

(edit): a rough estimate on the difference in regular parts plus the difference in condition bonus does actually reflect the ~3000CR mentioned above, so things are clearly now.
