i6 engine block
I'm doing a full resto on this sakura car.
when I put the i6 engine in the car, it asks me for an i4 gearbox.
is this normal? wouldn't it be an i6 gearbox?

(I don't know much about cars)

It’s just the way developers made the game. There are times when you’re putting a V8 oil filter on a V6 car and an I4 power steering pump on a V6/V8. I guess they did it to break things up/variety or just rushed it and didn’t do a really thorough once over for the parts. Several of the engines you can build are identical except for one or two parts or completely the same with just a different transmission/transfer case added.

Hey folks. Real life tech here. While it happens less and less as cars and trucks get more specialized, past incidents of this are actually quite common in real life. The difference here being that they use a part description rather than a part number. In some applications the gearbox might be the same in general, but with different/maybe stronger parts internally for the 6 versus the 4. The introduction of computer control forced manufacturers to begin specializing parts for cars and trucks to meet emissions as well as compatibility standards.

Long story said long, it may be the devs need to simplify their own production but it is not too far from real life to be called inaccurate. So all of the above I guess? Hope that makes a little sense of it. Mainly, have fun though! :104: :greasemonkey:
