Understandable really, after this I did start continuing the main quest and almost immediately got new armor to drop off some pirates. It wasn't as good, but was well rounded defenses instead of just melee. Still, it seems like if making your armor is going to be an option, it shouldn't already be such a pain to gather the mats by literally the second armor tier. Like save that for the 50+ armors. But again, it's whateves. It just makes it feel like the smithing skill is a bit useless tbh.
Can always farm the 25-50k+ xp books in mountains as well if you don't want to do it the normal way
That method seems lame, VERY lame. Why have them when you could just have 1-2 basic gears not cost a secondary. Sure the production number will increase every tier but at least it is smooth rather than alternative farming a different way to level something that should be kept in skill.
I did not understand this Engrish, what is lame exactly?
See I was trying to fight that thing so long using the mine cart to knock it out for a few seconds. NEVER occurred to me to just climb up those rocks. I think I just assumed he'd reset if I did that. THANK YOU!
It's definitely not as bad as runecape, but runescape is an MMO so it's expected to be bad. I know grinds can be pretty bad for single player games too but USUALLY that's for like some super cool rare item, not upgrading to the second tier of melee armor.
To each their own, but this is intended as a Runescape like, which half the point of the game is grinding up those levels so if I'm doing exactly that, it probably shouldn't be such a pain to craft only the second tier of melee armor. Doesn't matter now of course, as I did just end up buying the iron armor in Thornhill.
