Low Drop Rates - Troll Claw

The low drop rates for crafting materials are a joke. I try to make my first iron weapon and need a Troll Claw, i am farming the Troll Boss in the first cave and he should have a drop chance of 10% but no claw in over 30 kills. The other Trolls in the cave also don't drop them, neither does the Troll in the hills near the Iron deposits. I think this drop is bugged or something. It also feels very stupid because every troll should have a claw or is this a rare species born without hands?

If this grind for little things is how this game is going from now on i might quit. Doing Quests and exploring the land in the beginning was fun, but now i need to get stronger and craft better equipment and this grind is boring af. Sorry for the rant but doing the same thing over and over and hoping for the lucky drop is not my cup of tea.

kinda agree, materials for crafting drop rates are low and its getting boring killing more than 10 trolls or stones to get the materials to level up crafting

For items like this you can buy them from the scrapyard for scrap. Allows you to get a lot more claws a lot faster

Those trolls DO drop them, that's where i got mine when exploring. Most i have had to kill something for a unique so far is 78, the pumpkin fella. Got several heads but no pet yet.

If I remember well 1.3% drop rate for this. Could take a while.

Yeah drp rates are nuts, i would recomend using the scrapyard to get the troll claws, it's way better this way.

craft/scrap buy rare mats... farm mines and trees. do it all again
