Died, lost my gear, it instantly despawned...

you can get it back from scavengers, have to buy it though, so never carry all your gold around :P

its literally told in big, black letter on the death screen, every time you die. 'scavangers have your stuff'. How much bigger font you think they should make?

theres reasonable criticism, and then there's this.

also, i dont believe gold is ever removed from your inventory on death. i've died hundred times or more, and it never happened to me.

I also keep all my gold on me and have never had it lost before after I have died. You can usually go back to where you died to recover your gear, but if that is not an option because it is too dangerous or you left it too long, then scavengers are the way to go

It took me a while to realize you could buy back lost gear from Scavengers too, so maybe it is not as obvious as it could be...

You also only lose a few bits, maybe 10% of stuff, but it can be a bit unsettling if you don't know you can buy it back.
