there is a troll through the tunnels near the quarry - just south of the main town. Ask him nicely ;-)

Near Harshwind Shore there are many Forest Trolls. They drop Troll Claws, Troll Hide, the occasional iron weapon/armor, and sometimes magic rings.

Fun fact - if you do get the rings, sell them to the Fence in Thornhill. He'll pay 10x for the rings from the trolls. (not sure if it's a bug)
