How much content is there so far?
I've been looking for a single player Runescape/OSRS for YEARS now and so when I saw this on Splattercat's channel, I truly believed that God does exist and he has answered my prayers.

I'm definitely going to be buying this game, but I'd like to know the state of the game so far. Is the main story already finished? I've been seeing posts saying that levels are capped in the current version.

Thanks!

there's this armor that is wearable with the right defence skill so it's in the item ID table but doesn't have a graphic, it literally makes the character invisible and transparent from the neck down when worn, but hey it looks like there's gonna be a lot more content added down the line, so I'd say far from finished game which is good

About 10 hours in, you can definitely tell there's a lot less content 7 hours in then 4 hours in. Ended up stopping after getting to Thornhill(essentially leaving the opening act) just because I feel like there isn't enough side content.

There is the main story which seems to be fairly chunky, though I doubt it's complete, but without having a good amount to do in tandem with it just makes it feel sort of empty and boring, imo. Side quests become to infrequent, crafting and other professions don't quite have the padding as is, just going to be a better play experience waiting awhile for stuff to be added in, certainly a few fairly large bugs here and there too that time will help with.

The game is currently on Chapter 1, at least an entire Chapter 2 is missing. Maybe even more content than that to come in the future. But for the MSQ you have a lot of hours to complete it because of the skill based (like runescape) that you need to grind. Max lvls are currently 50 and some Traits and Items (crafting/smithing/tailoring) are still missing.
If you only focus on MSQ, you have probably 20 hours of gameplay (right now) if you know what you're doing.

Can the Dev answer this question?

The first part of the game, Haywire city and its related quests will offer around 10-15 hours of gameplay, farming mostly combat related skills plus a couple more for money making.
When you complete Haywire you will most probably have around level 20 in one or two combat skills.

Second part, Thornhll city and related quests, seems incomplete. The difficulty level increases exponentially here. It starts at level 20 and then jumps to level 35+. Seems a lot of side quests are missing here.

Overall i would say that there are a solid of 15 hours of main gameplay, without counting the hours to farm skills

Probably busy fixing bugs and issues, I wish they would communicate a bit more on Steam as I don't have them on Discord as of right now, but I'm sure they're not sitting around twiddling thumbs

Indie devs that don't communicate with players are never a good sign, you would expect that kind of behaviour from mega corps that don't care about player, only care about money. I feel scammed.

I haven't paid a cent yet I always hold off, I never buy games right away but I keep an eye on them

Trying to keep up with the questions but we're really busy at the moment, hundreds of bug reports to go through and a few issues that have required immediate action and hotfixes.

The main story questline is complete. Skills are currently capped at lvl 50, but that's likely to increase before full release. There's a bunch of side quests and other content, less towards the end game as mentioned but that's going to be our focus moving forward, planning to do at least 2-3 content updates per month once we get all the initial issues sorted out.

Can you estimate how many hours of story overall?
Thank you

So why have all this systems and game mechanics for such a tiny game? I don't understand.

You can say the same thing about every single game if you only follow the main campaign, also the game is in EA so it's obvious that the game is shorter now than it will be on full release.

I've already played 8 hours and nowhere even remotely near end.

Games only 10 quid to so really lol, i will very easily get my 10 quid's worth.

Could understand a bit more about this thread if you was about to spend 40-50 quid but for a game barely over a tenner seems a little silly tbh.

Thank you, you make a good point. It is a very low priced game and I am really looking forward to it. To just get lost in a good adventure.
