Is multiplayer or highscores ever going to be added to the game?

I'm sure this has been talked about somewhere but after googling it and combing the discussion boards I found nothing.

People are lovingly comparing this game to RuneScape which was the reason I gave it a shot. Having highscores and multiplayer would be cool, imo. That said, I'm not far enough into the game to know if that's even remotely possible or if the game was entirely designed as a singleplayer experience from day 1.

Its refered to as the SINGLE PLayer version of Runescape if you want multiplayer I sugest you go play runescape

I'd love to see a coop, bare minimum. Would be a lot of fun.
