How to unlock the second ending?

I already fough azar in his program master form for 3 times and my friendship already max out (3 leaves) but why there is no option to choise "i wont accept it?"

You need not just the level 3 friendship but the golden friendship, similar to what you get via story progression and should look like what you have with Phoenix.

To get this, you need to take a party member to the archive in the Crimson Wilderness, see their individual character story, and then talk to them before the final boss battles. If you want to get the bonus post-story scene you need to do this with everyone (note Helia & Selena can't unlock their Golden Friendship in free mode, they can only get it before you fight the Program Master in Story Mode).

Note that Azar does not have a Crimson Wilderness archive event or a Golden Friendship so don't worry about taking him through it.

I am right before the Program Master boss fight but Helia and Selena won't give me their golden clover.

Went through the wilderness with them and I am on story mode. So basically my very first run with the program master. What am I missing?

For the twins you have to run them twice.

You get their gold after you beat the program master and enter the true end route.

It makes sense once you get there and IMO it's well worth the trek through Story Mode.

To get the second ending.

1. Tackle the last boss with a one character at gold clover.

2. To get gold clovers, take them to the archives in Crimson Wilderness first and talk to them to get the red border. Then do the same when you are on the path to the final battles. This is right before the Azar fight.

3. To unlock the epilogue. Get everyone to gold clovers.

4. The twins is recommended to do last, so you just have to do one last run with them. Take them to the archives and talk to them. Then talk to them just before the Azar fight. Afterwards, talk to them after you beat Program Master once. The twins can only be upgraded to gold in Story Mode. This is on the True End route, just talk to them every instance you get.

Just one party member in gold will give you thechance, no? I never tried (always had all 4 gold), but I think I saw others do it that way.

Also, step 0: Get the other ending FIRST. You won't be able to get the second ending if you haven't gotten the first, no matter your friendship.

PS: Why is everyone talking about free mode. In free mode, don't you just fight FK, always? And that doesn't give gold.

No, you can still go the Azar/PM route in Free mode, and can get gold tokens for all the non-twin characters via it.

Your first attempt will never succeed, even with 4 gold. You NEED to get the birdcage ending first. I'm not saying your conclusion is wrong per sé, but your proof is incorrect.
