Attempting to find the new 2-2 zone in beta

I'm not a big brain, big effort, secret finder kind of guy, but since I see nothing posted in the forums I figured I would contribute and hopefully that will help others and myself find the answer sooner.

What I've seen so far:
1. There's objects like vending machines you can deposit 2 soul stones into on 1-2 and 2-1. Effect of using unknown.
2. There's an odd place in 2-1 with a loud windy noise. Lifting and purification scrolls did nothing.
3. There's a hedgehog that shows a question mark in the bonfire area after 2-1. I can't interact.
4. Also in the bonfire after 2-1 is this weird portal/wall looking thing up through the trees. Can't interact.

Oh hi, developer! I love your game. The characters give it soul and the difficulty keeps me playing. Also there's a cat outfit loli which adds like 100 points.

I used a couple scrolls while standing right next to an odd island of land where the noise was coming from. I'll take your clue and try again and we'll see if the result changes. I do remember that using the first scroll also revealed a secret item nearby, which makes me think "Perhaps somewhere in the logic if it finds one secret it won't find another in the same area or at least with the same scroll."

The hatch appeared this time! Sadly, I don't have two keys to go further xD.

I just tried it and Lifting on the spot does indeed work (however, the secret you reveal will require 2 keys afterwards).

You may have to do the two vending machines first before you use the scroll.

Got it! The wind noise was enough clue even for derps like me to figure it out.

That boss killed me xD. Super interesting that it punishes you for use Lucy skills along with announcing its skills ahead of time so you have time to react. I noticed there's still Korean popping up for some effects during all the fights in this level, and that sometimes when I discard things the sheathe effect doesn't activate. I noticed it most recently when discarding the drunkenness skill. Although it's possible I'm misunderstanding the sheath effect. Anywho, fun addition! Although, I was disappointed that I wasn't getting soul stones for winning those fights and I wasn't able to do relic and equipment combining at the bonfire in the new area. It also feels a little weird that there's an unlit bonfire that just sits there and your characters automatically get some sort of bonus as if they rested after a fight, but there's no indication that the healing happened or how much.
