Crashes and no-hit direct shots (aspect ratio?)

LOVE the re-release so far. Hoping for other Digital Pictures games in the future,

The game crashes for me every time in Act 2. I get part way in, sometimes I'm dealing with one location and another flags up and then it crashes.

There are some scenes where a direct hit does not count and the Reticulan gets away. I find if they are on the left of the screen and I click slightly to the right then the shot counts. And if the alien hit box is on the right of the screen I can click slightly outside the box on the left and it works.

It's almost as if there is an aspect ratio issue on some clips, and the hit box does not match the area to click in.

Anyone else have issues with shots not hitting?

Yes and it is mostly from enemies in corners, I think it's a hitbox thing, like they forgot to add hitboxes to certain video clips. Completely ruins the game for me, as some aliens will just sit there pounding the camera/shield and the shot never registers.
