Get Project I.G.I. and I.G.I.-2: Covert Strike on Steam please!!!
I am so eagerly waiting for this new game but please put the first two games on Steam. I would immediately buy them off :D they are my childhood games specially IGI 2. I have played it countless times. I am sure many people would buy it.

Apart from that, we need Kim M. Jensen composing soundtrack for this new game, that guy is amazing and incredibly talented.

Hi PR(Y)DA🐁mau5🐭
Unfortunately we don't own I.G.I. 1 or 2, so that's not something we are able to do sadly.

It is very unfortunate to know that from you but one thing still begs the question again, which is how do you own the rights and patents to this new IGI game then which is in development? Because obviously it is a Codemasters's property. What's going on and why?

The original I.G.I. games were developed by Norwegian developer Innerloop Studios. The first one was published by Eidos, and the second one by Codemasters.
The IP was purchased back from the publisher by some of the founders of Innerloop Studios, which in turn, was part of the acquisition Toadman made when we bought Artplant back in 2018. The two first games still remain with their respective publishers though, as is common in these situations.
We look forward to revealing more about the new I.G.I. game in the months ahead! :)

Thank you for clarifying everything. I appreciate it. I look forward to this new game too, I certainly hope that it gets the recognition it deserves.

iGi 2 can be bought on gog.com while Project iGi is freeware, you just have to run it with direct play activated and Dgvoodo texture software placed in your Project iGi folder.

So the license to the IP was bought back, but not the games in it?
Which means you now have the right to continue the IP, but not touch anything already released back then.

IGI 1 is apparently owned by Squeenix and they don't seem particularly open to drm free releases to say the least, hence the absence of the game on GoG.
Could be interesting to see if the devs can negociate something with them though?

just one thing why you guys are creating a hype for this game...it is not being developed by innerloop studios who made igi 1 and 2 :steamfacepalm::steamfacepalm:

Because former Innerloop employees are making it.
