Is that game dead?

I wanted to play with some friends but we can't find any servers so it's impossible to play ?! I see there are always new events, but if no one is playing and there are no private / co-op servers then we can give them back, right?

Yes, it has been dead for awhile now. The old-heads seems to have a big issue not taking turns with their worms anymore.

They released it today for Nintendo Switch and Xbox (ONE and SX). I hope that crossplay with these platforms will help it.

Was kind of dead on arrival unfortunately due to a really piss poor beta that left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths the game hasn't really managed to grow.

Playerbase has seen an uptick since the Game Pass + Switch release (it's full crossplay). Deathmatch and Teamdeatch games I've played over the past few days have been full/mostly full. I played one match of the battle royale mode and that was still pretty barren, but to be honest I'm not really a fan of that mode anyway and was only playing to get an achievement.

The playerbase kind of fell off shortly after launch, but it seems to have stabilized with the new players. Hopefully it lasts for a while!

not "thiz gaem iz ded" as a question "is the game is dead" the days i got the answer that servers could be found again through crossplay, and now my friends have picked it up, if the questions bother you go out and play and don't read posts that annoy you

No, this game IS NOT DEAd, and if u have a crossplay option enabled, then you know that matchmaking in everyserver is fast and gathers players easily. And if you don't have it on, then thats everyone's problem and then complain at the forums saying the game is dead and has no players when u can play fast with players from other platforms and from other servers.

What the heck did they thoughts its going to happen with releasing a game that nobody ask for? Who is gonna play this? Turn based Worms fans? Nope.
Battle Royal fans? Nope. 2D shooter fans? Haha nope. There are so many 1000 times better games than Worms Rumble on the market for the past years.
Team17 is so desperate in making this game not die that they just now launched massive campaign with ads everywhere (including on E3) and giving away codes for Humble Bundle Choice, Fanatatical and even for free. I got my Worms Rumble code for free and holy moly I did not expected this game to be this horrible.
