Singleplayer please?

Sorry if this isn't the news you were hoping for, but Worms Rumble will be an online multiplayer only game.

We've got a free Beta soon, so why not jump in and see what you think?

I mean as much as i loved to. Ehhh i dont feel right about turning worms into a REAL TIME battle game. As much as i love you guys this news is very disappointing. I will still play worms WMD on my switch but this isnt it.

I'm all in favor of worms getting off shoot games. could serve to strengthen team 17's biggest franchise right now. Maybe even a kart racer with yooka and laylee included or something....
however i would like to see it on the side of a new worms game as well. perhaps that's also in the cards for the future. That said, this looks like a good deal of fun. Unfortunately in a market saturated with this kind of experience, i dont see it gaining the traction i think you guys are hoping to see.

EXACTLY! Battle royale has been done to death already and people are already starting to get sick of it.

The only ones who do support it are either ninja fans or fortnite fans.

If you played 1 battle royale game you pretty much played all of them.

Something I HIGHLY suggest is in games like this make either 1 - a mode for bots or 2 - games filled with bots if not enough players.
Games like this die during of hours low pop times if you dont have full lobbies of some sort...

Please consider adding bots. My favorite thing about every previous Worms is that there was the ability to play with/against bots, and we didn't have to rely on the game having a playerbase.

No matter what, one day this game will struggle to have a playerbase, and bots will nullify that issue.
