Opinion from a Headstart player (that still plays unlike that obious * who posted the other review)
Astellia Online is probably the best MMORPG out there right now if you want to have a non P2W Game with equal chances for everyone.
Dungeons and PvP are fun and the game is even playable when your PC doenst meet the requirements (like mine).

Unlike the other guy said, we DO get Patchnotes. I do not know why he says that.

Content patches are released regularly so it never gets boring.

Endgame is the most fun part of it, as in every MMORPG. Story and leveling up to 50 is just an annoying thing that can't be avoided. Level 50 is where the game really starts.
Fortunatly, reaching Level 50 doesnt take ages as in other MMORPGs.

The only slightly negative part is the community being full of trolls and people bashing the game even though they quit after 1 week, but if you learn to ignore those people like they deserve to be ignored its a very good game and I can recommend it to everyone who wants a game that keeps you occupied for more than 2 weeks and isnt just pure cashgrab.

Hahahahah... "the best mmo", thats why it has less than 500 active players left after 4 months. Stop trolling... the lucky players with RNG will beat others in PvP with the gear advantage.
Never read so much bs.

said the guy who posted the biggest garbage I have read in months

Y, so much garbage. XD
That's why the game is dead shortly after its release. Or a Player can go 1v5 in avalon, not because of skill, just because of a gear/ subclass-advantage. I bet youre one of the "no life-afk-farmer" enjoying playerkills made by the RNG geargrind.

This game is a joke and not even near "equal". Every other mmo with fixed stats and bossdrops like ff14, wow, swtor, etc. are much more equal for everyone and that's wh those have millions of players and not 500 afk farmer left.

You better enjoy the game when you love it so much. I'll come back here to rest in your tears when the devs announce the server shutdown this year.
The steam-release is just cashgrabbing! Stay away guys, it's not worth the money or efford.

I really like this game !
No Pay 2 win.
Beautiful landscape.
Love my rogue and Scholar gameplay.
I really like the astels gameplay.
We have every month event or update.
We have roadmap for 2020 with new aera, new dungeons, more astels mechanics.
For me as a casual gamer, no subs, i play when I want, it's very nice.

For example, i love this aera :

Fully agree !

Astellia does not have a big studio, and can not afford to do like the other "big studio" with advertising in all directions.

This game is great, but some didn't even give it a chance. Like these youtubers who denigrate him but on the other hand recommend games that are bad because they have money in exchange ...

while it is true, that this game has fairly little p2w elements,
it does has some ... namely two possible subscriptions and a lootring, which undeniably gives you an advantage/benefit

about the endgame ... i don't know

personally, i'd say, that the exact opposite is the case
it is exactly the leveling phase and the storry [if it doesn't switch between different languages in the middle of the sentance that is] which makes the game realy shining

the world is created nicely and ... well ... just looks and feels realy good
even the startails-part, where you collect stuff all across the world ... it just makes fun

but the real endgame ... it lacks in so many aspects

it's a daily routine of senseless grind,
where you can't even decide to say
"nope, this week i don't wanna grind so much ... next week, when i have holidays i'd play the whole week 24/7"

becouse the daily/weekly routins ... coupled with a ticket-system making your tickets getting full twice a day kinda forces you into playing in the morning ... and the evening ... if you don't want to let them go to waste

at the same time,
when you have time to actually play a lot ... that verry same system starts to limit you

if you want to play at more "unusual" times ...
look for a tank - sorry, i'm already out of tickets - is what you will hear ...
and than you stand there ... alone ...

becouse of that, the game looks a lot more dead, than it actually is

also the pvp simply has to many issues
[i remember these always same two guys shouting for peopl to fight within the arena, becouse they don't find enemys interested into that gearfight

i remember a single guild winning/earning the bonus-zender within avalon each and every week ... since week one

i remember, 2/3 of the active pvp'ers getting into faction C, while 1/3 was split across faction A and B]

the endgame and pvp could be good ...
it is an unpolished diamond ... which could actually be fun

but as long, as the dev's don't manage to balance things out ...
it will loose players faster, than it gets new ones

less than 300 active players [split across 3 factions over the whole week] ... within a battleground designed for 300v300v300 ... that just doesn't work

and if too many of the remaining actives flock together into a single place, for the easy win and easy free zender [], than it creates an inbalance, leaving everyone else out of the equation

and the fact, that the gear component matters so much doesn't exactly help there

The game was shutdown in Korea after a year of stale content.

It's being brought to Steam as a cash grab before they inevitably shutdown this version too.
I wouldn't trust throwing money at a game where the publisher has a history of shutting down after just a year.
