My specs is not Pixel Shader Model 4.0 capable, would the game even launch?
I'm interested in buying this game, but the only issue i have is the Shader Model 4.0 not supported by my chipset

Ok, I don't know Unity, just never tried it. But I'm able to slightly understand shaders.

I can see a possibility: what if your creation don't need in usage of this specific 4.0 model of dataflow to be alive (those specific part with geometry shader)?

Is it possible if you'll try to switch to other version of shader model just to check if project is still compilable?
