Witherstrike does not trigger curse shield

Hi, I had a run where I accuired the Witherstrike ability which gives your attack a 30% chance to apply curse in the amount of your attack dmg. I'm not sure if intended or not, but I noticed Witherstrike will not trigger "Curse Shield" of enemies like normal curses you apply.
