Fast pull away

Is there a way to pull away faster as the start of a race? I feel like the cars wheels spin a lot whereas some AI ones don't, is it just a vehicle difference or is there a technique?

no, there is no timing, you can hold it, you can press it halfway, it doesn't matter

or at least, it's not supposed to, sometimes the game can bug which gives you a faster or slower pace off the starting line, which is only a problem if you're a contender for WR leaderboard times
