How to unlock every car?

Love the game so far but I think it does a poor job in explaining how the unlocking works.

So how can I unlock every car in challanges/arcade?
Also - is finishing story mode with every character rewarded in anyway?

Every character story will open up the challenges, win challenges to get the other cars.

you also get the odd reward here and there for just playing through the story.

Which character do I need to play as to unlock the Coda Supreno? The fact each car handles so differently kinda makes the game unenjoyable for me personally so I just wanna pick the car I like and stick with it rather than wasting my time going through each character

I only remember 1 time attack during Viv's story that you had to beat that time in order to keep going through her story. For Ibba's story, since I'm terrible with the HPE Dragon, I was still able to get through to the end as you didn't actually have to win the races/events to progress through it. It just won't show up as 100% complete when you load the story. Edward and Ada I can't say for sure if there were any blocks like Viv's but they were easy in comparison as their car's have pretty straightforward handling/drift mechanics.
