I mean your first part is very situational and pounce can be done a dozen ways with pseudo-pounces, and you can level fairly quick making reaching the pseudo-pounce point not a problem for any build that has an interest.

Fact is though roberthornhartman is right on the count of them being replaceable. That's by design though as they just as easily been the Rat-folk or the cats.

Quite a strong pick. Try it out with Master Shapeshifter. With that, it basically has no downsides. And it gets Pounce eventually. Do I need to say more?

Not basically no downsides, rather no downsides period.
First mythic level can be master shapeshifter + destiny beyon birth for +6 str +4 dex +4 con.

Honestly it still requires a spesific build but more importantly I need to correct your assumption about the vote. We rats were favored to win but due to the fact few of the race's supporter had the intelligence it's known for a chunk when't and mocked the other two causing a lot of the cats to vote fox out of spite.
