Daeran's Quest Questions

How does one earn Daeran's Trust to get the goodish ending for his final companion quest???? If I don't kill the inquisitors he does it on his own? I honestly like his character and thought he and my Azata were on good terms, didn't romance him though since I don't swing that way.
Very confused about all of this and all guides don't seem to say much about the endings or don't even acknowledge that certain endings can happen. They're all Incomplete so I'm asking PLEASE HOW DOES THIS QUEST WORK?!

I wander as well. Otherwise, you can solo the Other after talking with Daeran in private and revealing that you know. Daeran will be free, even though the Inquisitor's quest will count as a fail.
