Caster builds can theoretically be ridiculously OP however the reliance on Rage (3 times per rest? wtf?) makes it more a theorycraft kinda thing than something truly practical. Especially since many of the best caster mythic abilities aren't available until the end game.
In contrast - Lich and Angel are amazing at mythic path 3 due to merged spell books. With Azata being able to get Zippy Magic and Favorable Magic being available from Mythic Path 3 on. Further - Not only is Azata mythic abilities always "on" but they can restore spell slots with Azata unique spells.
In a practical sense I suspect even Aeon is a better all around mage than Demon.
Demon wizard kicks ass. Strong enough to melee trash mobs and one shot mythic demons with illusion spells. With exploiter wizard you get a bunch of exploits to use when you dont want to waste demonic rage, tons of intellect, many spells, lots of fun. With rods you can also cast op spells multiple times per round. Fully buffed hellfire ray is meme damage.
I am just loving my Demon Kineticist, water start into deadly earth. It is just so strong, full charge a deadly earth, drop a tripping wall in with it. Can even drop grease. One painful slip n slide.
still I think bloodrager is best
The demonic story is fine lot of funny stuff during the game
You're basically an very tough, reasonably high dps melee bard who blends songs with rage powers. Except that your song give the whole party a melee damage bonus.
It's decently powerful, and fits the demon theme quite well.
Plus, you get a few arcane spells that can augment your melee attacks for boss fights.
I'm having fun so far.
Im doing a warpriest, I really like the class, fantastic at summoning very adaptable with divne armor and weapon buffs, andI like how I can take the axe of rovagaug until the end of the game with bane life spell
Late game I got both STR and CON modifiers up to double digits, and you can get strength up to +13 easily. Demon worked great for my barbarian. I also got a ton of DR and nat armor. The demon aspects offer advantages whether you are a spellcaster, ranged fighter, rogue, or melee tank. If anything, it's annoying that you have to select some aspects that probably do nothing for your build (why would I select Babau when I have no sneak attack damage and no chance of making a stealth check?). You also get to debuff enemies for getting to close to you, or heal when you kill creatures.
Path gives you 2 base claw attacks. Now just find a class/race that gives other types of natural attacks (lots of choices). You can really pile on the bonus natural attacks. Then continue stacking on other abilities that stack on natural attacks.
Usually sub-optimal, but it's simple and that can have merit on it's own.
No idea who would say that. As a sorcerer the Demonic powers were quite overpowered. It also has a lot of unqiue content.
No idea how good it is for a martial character but it makes the arcane casters beasts.
I picked demon as my first path at release with an oracle and I was soloing several parts of the game in core difficulty.
Demon has always been fine as a path, be it for warriors or casters.
