Does taking a feat that grants points count as training?
if i took deceitful, would that count as being trained in trickery, or would i have to spaff a point into it anyway?

nothing as such, just noodling around some build ideas. probably bad ones, but at least now they won't be barking up a dead tree.

For skills that you can't use "untrained" you need at least a single rank (aka skill point) in them in order to use them. Trickery is one such skill.

There are certain abilities like "bardic knowledge" that allow certain skills to be used untrained. If you can use it untrained, then all your bonus stats to that skill do apply despite having no ranks.
