Normal Hunter VS Divine Hound VS Sacred Huntsmaster
Hey, I've been playing this game off and on for the past months. I always play the tutorial, but before I complete it, I get new idea for a new character and start anew. I'm determined to complete the game to the end. The concept I have is a roaming religious character with his pet dog getting roped into the story. So, I've narrowed down his class to 3: the base hunter, the divine hound archetype, and the sacred huntsmaster inquisitor. However, I'm struggling to pick which class to run. Can you help me decide the class that best help me fit my concept? I thank you in advance for your time and advice.

I did something like this once, but I found yet another option beyond what you considered:

I just had a party member transformed into a wolf all the time. His/her name was Dog. Gave them a custom portrait of a dog.

Worked great, solved my whole desire for pets without having to debate which class I wanted that could take pets.

PS: the whole point, mechanically, of having companion animals is entirely lost when you can control multiple characters...Players like companions because it helps with damage output, supposedly, but that's only because the game has the weird artificial cap on party members that has the weird exception on companion animals.
