I've done one run so far with a scion and will throw in my two cents. Scions made great fighter/mage characters in Kingmaker because nobody had spell resistance and saves were only so-so, which meant you could regularly land fireballs whenever you felt like it while also being one of the game's strongest melee characters.

The main issue you will deal with in Wrath is that nearly everybody in the demon-centric parts of the game will have great saves and high spell resistance. Offensive spells like fireball will regularly inflict 0 damage unless you take the full line of SR-beating and DC-improving feats. And if you're going to do that then you are probably better off as a caster sorcerer than a scion.

A secondary issue is that demons also generally have truesight and will regularly try to dispel your buffs. For that reason, characters who rely on magic for their defenses are not as strong in Wrath as they were in Kingmaker while archetypes that develop solid defenses without needing magic (like the new instinctual warrior) arguably surpass scions on that dimension in Wrath.

Scions are still solid but my advice would be to lean into melee damage rather than offensive casting, using your spell slots primarily for personal DPS boosts like sense vitals (which you presumably plan to take since you have the arcane bloodline) and party buffs like haste. Then grab abyssal as your mythic bloodline as soon as you are able, which is around 5th level for most players. Good luck!
