I have done the exact steppes that you did . Supposedly her romance is only Aeon or Angel but I think thats just to make her stay with you in Act 2 . Although I believe Angel does help even more later since you will be very similar in some sense
However I think we made a mistake kissing her hand. If you gave sily responses in act 2 ( something about more than feathers flying ? ) she replies : first you tried to kiss my hand , now this ? I am starting to see what kind of man my commander really is.
This implied that she did not like the hand kiss. Furthermore she says that a lot of men tried to charm her with words so you have to do better. I dont consider that one a bad thing , its like she aknowledges your advancements at least.
Finally during the gargoyle rescue if she asks if you were worried about her if you reply 'not for a second" she is happy with the response.
In general I think she likes not to treat her like a fragile Queen that needs protection and not make silly romance quotes. She does however like humor.
I hope this thread develops , she is probably the hardest romance . I flirt with the succubus as a secondary option and she seems to be easily romanced by azzatas but also angels. I suspect golden dragons will also have it easy.
I did not give her the silly response in Act 2 so it's interesting to note she didn't appreciate her hand being kissed in Act 1. Hopefully that's not a deal breaker.
For anyone else who is marching on this difficult road with your fellow Pathfinders I encourage open discussion here. Just continue to use spoilers where applicable.
She was there in a room with some prisoners. She showed up and starting killing cultists. She then revealed that she allowed herself to be captured in order to help the prisoners.
Pretty badass. It showed she is not only a Queen but also a Paladin of Iomedae that can fight just like everyone else. Probably even better with all that experience.
Yeah I doubt the kiss was a deal breaker . The " queens gratitude" for quickly and efficiently resolving act 2 should more than make up for it . She seemed pretty impressed in the next when she gave us the gifts.
You sure we should use spoiler tags? I mean the entire romance path will have spoilers . I will edit my responses just in case.
edit : yes I hope this thread gets developed . And on a personal note if someone discovers that she dumbs you if you romanced another companion please let me know. It worked vice versa in kingmaker where a companion insta dumbed you if you romanced the secret character.
If you go swarm path I doubt you can romance her anyway. Actually I am sure because (path spoiler ) all companions leave you if you go swarm, and your army gets replaced by the swarm as well. In fact I think she is not romanceable with any of the evil paths.
I dont know if you HAVE to invite her but it does help because you get extra dialogues with her .
So the path is decided only by one choice? Which choice are they referring to? I don't think that can be right.
Oh no not the path, he just said that the other 2 dialogues didnt get him anything ( she just stood there) while with the sarcastic reply things went " forward" so to speak
Act 2 - Convinced to join. Went all for sappy and courting options.
During attack she was heading main charge while I helped Hellknights.
Act 3 - Quickly took Drezen, received reward, joked about ring and bethrothal.
At the end of chapter, attacked without waiting for her, because Azata. She showed at the end, angry, relieved me of duty.
Act 4 - Met Storyteller, asked to say hi to her for me.
Act 5 - Received her letter, asked Storyteller to show me her thoughts.
At city of Iz saved her after the banner (accidentally, but still).
At last conversation tried to go romantic, but she rejected me because "Your path is too chaotic and dangerous". There was Aeon action in that dialog, but I have no idea what it does
I can confirm that she doesnt like that one. I kissed it as well. Then in act 2 I made some silly flirting for fun ( then reloaded save ofc )and she said the following :
" First you try kissing my hand and now this ??? I am starting to see what kind of a person my Commander trully is . Many men have tried to charm me like this before, you need to do better "
Thanks for this. Sounds like maybe waiting for her could be a make/break deal. Though acting like a flirt in all your instances may also contribute to her rejecting as well. Thanks for contributing!
When you enter the Commanders tent for the first time you will have a chat option to tell her about it and give it back to her or keep it. I wonder if giving the artifact back to her is a hard choice for initiating her romance.
I never got the opportunity to restore the relic in my game so unsure if this is needed.
Despite her reaction, those are actually good choices to starting the romance her. As a matter of fact, I don't think there is any way to lock yourself out of her romance in acts 1 or 2. What matters the most from what I know is your mythic path (Angel may be required) and whether you're romancing anyone else in your party (I think thats a dealbreaker for her).
They said that in WoTR you will be asked too chose through dialogue when you romance more than 1 person in order to avoid auto-rejects lik Kingmaker
I am unsure whether romancing others will lock you out of hers though. Need more run completions with folks who actually have gotten that far.
