Regill Builds
It looks like Regill isn't very popular, as there are very few builds for him while other companions have several vastly different strong and interesting builds, often even lore friendly-ish.

Please share Regill builds, if you're playing with him in the party!
I'd like to use him as a frontliner that doesn't fold after a few hits on Core/Hard, but I don't need him to be a tank, since I have Seelah + 2 pets for that.

He makes a pretty good Sanctified Slayer IMO. Bane weapon + sneak attack damage means he can really put out some great damage due to the number of hits he gets with his weapon of choice.

I've considered giving him a few levels of cleric of the Godclaw, just because iirc HellKnights of that order count their levels as cleric so maybe he'd be a fair warrior cleric... Beyond that he's a functional heavy meleeist build.

This is something I've been wondering about as well. Regil's biggest problem is he starts at a minimum of level six and already multiclassed. Doesn't leave a whole lot of levels for players to work with considering how many decent multiclass options are available to him.

Retraining really should bring companions down to level 1 in their first class.

In any case, slayer seems like a good class for him to make the most out of his dual wielding.
I decided remove his Hell knight class to make him a pure Armiger Fighter, setting his 13 STR to 12 and raising his wisdom from 13 to 14.

He is on core the hardest hitting melee character on level 10 now, the multiple fighter training and mythic two weapon fighting feats make him very efficient.

I think Regill Kineticist build has been missed. I usually respec to level 0 but even with his existing build he can be an interesting kinetic knight.
1) Touch attacks with fire and blue flame (need spell pen feats)
2) GTWF with Shield Bash, Shield Master, and Mythic TWF
3) Likely candidate for Triceratops statue or drop kinetic knight and go normal kineticist to grab ranged blasts
4) Kinetic fire gives dazzling display +Dreadful carnage then grab shatter defenses. Lvl 20 is around 40 persuasion with the various skill focus that kineticist brings.

I theory crafted him to level 20 and have 6 Armiger/1 HK/13 Kinetic knight (or kineticist).
4 TOUCH attacks 23/19/15/11, 3 shield bash attacks 27, 23, 19
16d6+1 damage, shield bash is underwhelming 1d4+5 pre-buffs but its still interesting
Unbuffed AC 36, higher depending on armor and shield

Granted, he doesn't do the dps a min/maxed level 20 kineticist mythic merc would do but he his still a lot better than vanilla Regill.

I've been following this Regill Guide:

It seems to be pretty effective, advancing him as a Cavalier (Gendarme archetype). He's much more mobile.
