Anybody figured out what's the deal with Crinukh?

So I've conversed with him throughout the game and he provided some uncanny insights. He's suspicious, but nothing comes out of it afaik. I could only accuse him and he leaves, or leave him alone. Anything hidden going on with this kobold? Is he some powerful entity in disguise doing it for giggles? Or just super smart kobold?

I wonder if he's related to one of the mythic paths I didn't do like maybe trickster. I went angel.

Did you talk to him in every act? I forgot about him until act 5 so I figured something must happen if you talk to him in every chapter.

I did not only went a couple of times but nothing ever happened.

I talked to him in all chapters possible, but even at the very end, before Threshold he didn't spill the beans.

Well on my second playthrough I've learned that he really likes chaotic choices when he gives you a moral dilemma. All the stories he tells you seem to be linked to events in game which haven't happened yet and you can call him out on each one. I'm guessing something must happen if you call him out on enough of them, but I can't seem to reach the critical mass I need to make it happen.

Examples (spoilers):
-his first story about a traitor refers to Nurah
-one of the stories in act 3 refers to Wintersun
-there's a story in act 3 that seems to refer to Camellia, but killing her didn't seem to trigger a response, maybe you have to keep her around

He gave me a kingdom event which increased resource income after I talked to him when returning from the laboratory

So checking into this a bit (which is how I stumbled over this thread) it sounds like he is some Kickstarter backer's NPC? Anyway I hope he's not important since I kill those on sight in any game I find them in on general principle.
