Groteus? For the love of Harrim
That depressed dwarf from Kingmaker really grew on me, but for the life of me, I can't find Groteus on the Deity selection options.

Kingmaker really developed Groteus, so kinda feels weird that he's not an option in the new game. I also have the option to take the protrait of Harrim for my character (or a merc)...so why no groteus?

But I'm with you here. Harrim was perhaps a crap cleric, but I also liked his story.

Hey, Owlcats, if you come across this, please add Groetus. There's really no point to it (or anything, really), but here's two folks who will thank you for it :Owlcat_wink:

It... uh, seems you might be right.
It could be because a Groetus worshipper would be hard-pressed to find any reason to bother with the whole Worldwound business. Suppose demons invade and take over all Golarion. So what? The End Times will spare nothing.

Kingmaker had just as much reason to include Groteus, too.

Dunno, just seems odd that they'd remove it. They kept just about every other character creation option from Kingmaker, even expanded them, seems weird that they'd remove one.

Meh. Just kinda miss that depressed dwarf.

Hmm...looks like, no, couldn't before. Guess I was wrong in it being an option in the previous game.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

It's the same with the Green Faith being only available for Camellia. That would've been a great addition since there are very few nature deities to choose from :steamsad:

Game is missing a bunch of deities.

Like Pulura or Daikitsu.

Were they in Kingmaker?

That's kinda the point here, the work was already done in kingmaker, it's just not an option for no clear reason.

I dont know Daikitsu but Pulura is an empyreal lord, and so a half god, like the demon lords. So she is not a deity and will propably be very low on the list of possible gods/faiths for pathfinder.
To those wanting more deities to choose from I'd recommend getting the Expanded Content mod by Kadyn, it adds a good amount of new deities to choose from, in addition to some new archtypes, classes and a fair amount of new stuff to make the game more fun, and when I say more deities I mean enough that they have seperate tabs to distinguish their types you have Eldest you have Empyreal Lords, you have gods, you have Demon Lords, Dragons and more; enough variety for anyone.

Daikitsu is the Kitsune deity. You'd think they would of added her when they added the kitsune race.

Ok, Thanks.
I think Daikitsu isn't added to WotR, because her region of influence (Tian Xia) is geographically a long distance away from Mendev, and because she is, I think, a more unknown goddess for players.

My personal guesses for the next gods are Groetus, because of Harrim, Brigh, Ghlaunder and the dragon gods, because there are Ghlaunder cultists as enemies, in the first dlc, the clock of Brigh is essential for a puzzle, and the dragon gods because of the dragon path.

But yeah, more possible faiths would be good.
