oh im not asking other people to do anything....
its what I actually do in my games... :P
and selective metamagic I get at level 1.... cant use it that early but its to setup for later on... since at level 5 I get 2 more metamagic feats bolster and intensify
selective metamagic works just fine with grease and web
One of the cheapest tricks I use on Core difficulty if some encounter is pissing me off or I know it's an unbalanced one (Blightmaw, am looking at you) is to layer before the fight like 4-6 greases on top of each other and baiting enemies into it, the way the game works, they have to roll a reflex save for EACH ONE OF THEM, not just one. So even someone with very high reflex save has very good chances of getting bullied by this tactic.
Any fast character is good. Just make the melee fighters follow you, Jeslin will stay behind. As soon as melee fighters are away Jeslin is pretty much alone for the rest of your party. Easy prey, and as soon as she dies, the swarm disappear.
It's the toughest fight I encountered. You don't have much level which makes it a bit tricky.
That's not something I can say for Blightmaw for instance since there I'm every single time like "Right... wonder what's gonna go wrong this time!"
