Abusing elemental imbuement robe

Whenever the wearer of this robe suffers elemental damage for the next round any spell cast by the wearer if it deals the same kind of ele damage, deals 2+ damage per dice rolled.

Anyone know if it procs even if the damage becomes 0? Aka casting cold on him and 0 damage pops up… likewise originally I was using icy prison on daeran to make this proc but due to all my buffs I’m finding winters grasp the most reliable way to proc the robe, anyone else found a better way to keep ice damage on him? (I’m also using white dragon armor on my mc but don’t think daeran is close enough to benefit it.)

I can't answer the question about resistance stopping it. I don't think it does. But yes, you can just cast the lvl 0 cantrip on him to activate it.

I think so... the build I saw I think said it procs even if you take 0 damage...

Just have someone stand next to them wearing the White Dragon armor. Free Proc every round.
