Taking any of the friend stuff is giving him the green light. Need to shut him down early.
also the reverse is true too... had a female commander that just was friendly with Sosiel during strike for the sky mission... just "im so glad your ok"... which I didnt see as hitting on him just glad my cleric was there to do his cleric thing is all... and he promptly shut me down like I just asked him out or something... I was like wtf dude calm down....
maybe if our main characters had voice acting we'd probably see what some of our dialogue options are really sounding like instead of assuming...
Best evil murder in any game was having him ripped to shreads by his own kind hehe
I bet I know what was going on in your mind at the time.... "thanks lann... your so awesome lann"....
With Lann though, there really isn't any indication that you're even in a relationship at all. He says he's going to stand guard outside the commander's tent, but that's about it. You just sorta do personal quest stuff with him like you do for everyone else, then at a seemingly invisible point you are now considered lovers by the game.
I just wanna platonically have battlements kung fu with my lizard bro :(
I am well aware that he isn't real, as should have been evident in my post. Don't laugh at people for your lack of reading comprehension.
true... but look at his background... he's a mongrel meaning he has a shorter lifespan than normal people.... so pretty sure the whole procreation drive is a lot faster for them than with other races with longer lifespans.... I mean it seems like in these games the longer the lifespan the slower to reproduce and all.... plus the fact that he was one of the best hunters in his tribe I imagine he would have been a catch for other tribeswomen given their culture as hunters and warriors...
but based off of Lann's decision to hook up with Wenduag.... the chiefs daughter (important person)... strong and in charge type of woman.... well.... we kinda match his type of woman it would appear...
not to mention he probably also got dating advice from Wenduag... who probably told him things like "if a woman is nice to you that means she's interested so grow a pair and make a move" or something along those lines i'd imagine... he looked up to her before afterall...
Taking that and his background into consideration, I would say Owlcat did some work thinking through his romance interaction.
Yeah, they may have taken Lann's interactions into consideration, but clearly not the commander's interactions. He might not be very social, but she is a bit more worldly. Her responses to Lann should be taken literally if he needs social handholding so much, but the game is waaay too fast in assuming he can jump from "You're a good friend!" to "Let's make mongrel/angel hybrid babies!", especially without there possibly being a "Listen, there was clearly a case of miscommunication somewhere along the line..." type of situation.
If that was how it worked, she would be in a relationship with most people she talks to, including Ember! That's a problem!
