DLC - How many hours?
Can anyone tell me how long each DLC lasts?

As a rule of thumb? About 5 hours each. 6 to 7 if you're a completionist. You won't see everything they have to offer within one playthrough tho. Inevitable Excess and Lord of Nothing for instance have multiple endings.

For a first run, do you recommend playing the base game or playing it directly with the DLC?

That's a tricky question. If you play chronologically the DLC's will spoil a good deal of the story. For a blind run I'd recommend going full in with just the main campaign, The separate campaigns of Through the Ashes, Lord of Nothing and Inevitable Excess can be still enjoyed after your first playthrough. And will also help your secondary playthrough of the main campaign with additional items.

Just play the game how you like it. I beat the game without all DLCs first, and then played all standalones - and then did playthroughs with all integrated into main campaign DLCs after.

If you enjoy the game, you will play through all content it provides naturally. If not - well, why bother asking.

Last sarkorians, midnight isles, a dance of masks, inevitable excess are all integrated into the main campaign. Through the ashes is adjacent to the beginning of act 1 and it continues as lord of nothing. Lord of nothing adds a dungeon to the main campaign. I don't see any reason to skip the dlcs, they add tons of content, and act 5 no longer feels like it's barren thanks to the dlcs

Midnight isles is longer than 5-7 hours unless you go story mode.

Trough the Ashes and Lord of Nothing can be safely ignored but I'd say you should play it. All the other DLCs are integrated into the main campaing and The Lord of Sarkoris one might even be mistaken for something that was already there. I'd say play with them all for the complete experience.

Tough Through the Ashes should be the first or else you don't get the reward if you finish the first half of chapter 1 before you complete through the ashes.
