For the Queen Galfrey romance, do I skip Lepers smile or not

I always got the message that I was fast enough despite doing Lepers Smile

Leper's Smile is a mandatory story segment. You cannot skip it. I think points are lost by picking up items before you kill the Vescavor Queen and saving the guy stuck in the pit. Important is to choose Sosiel for to assist your army and tell him to hold ground. He'll heal everyone.

I was able to trigger the romance using Nurah. You simply burn the queen's body and do not think of using it. Also, I think on my first one I still had casualties from getting items and it did not impact the romance.

For Leper's Smile the only item really worth getting is one of the few items you can pickup without being penalized.

Lann is more than sufficient for the job.

I always pick Regill and he does a fine job too holding back the vescavors.
