Divine Guardian Question
I created a divine guardian mercenary and am trying to use Divine Troth.

After using it, I see the Divine Troth icon and status in the other character's effects bar. I have both In Harm's Way and Divine Bodyguard active (the icon has the white circling outline).

How do I get it to trigger? By the letter, the rulebook[www.d20pfsrd.com] states the paladin must be using the aid another action to intercept an attack for In Harm's Way[www.d20pfsrd.com]. Does the paladin need to be adjacent? In tabletop, the action takes place as an immediate action while using aid another, but I don't see an option to use aid another in the UI. Do I need to do something? How?

it is automatic but is rather underwhelming unless they changed something,
i tried it in kingmaker and problem is that it will proc on every attack and not only on succesfull attacks, resulting in wasting the effect on attacks that would have missed anyways and yes you need to be close to the guarded person for it to work

I think the Guardian needs to be in range to attack of opportunity the enemy that is attacking. A reach weapon and feats that increase the number of attacks of opportunity per turn make it a lot more useful. It definitely works and shows in the combat log for relevant attacks. +4 AC and the usual Paladin aura buffs to saves can be pretty useful if you also add some teamwork feats and Half of the Pair.

i think it would be cool if it worked like it is supposed to, only proc on "succesfull" attacks, i would guess this is a bug or limitation of the system and to much bother to fix, dont think it is worth it to build a paladin for this and give up spells, there are just way too many attacks that can come in and most of the time it will do nothing
