Merged Spellbooks and innate casters
Hello,
I seem to remember some nerf to innate casters (sorc, oracle..) when it comes to merging spell books with angel / lich but I am having trouble finding the patchnotes or a discussion about it.
Could one of you enlighten me?

Do you mean the part where spontaneous casters can't do metamagic without turning the spell into a full-round action? Other than Quicken ofc.

Not about merged spellbooks, though. I don't recall anything related to this particular thing, except them fixing Oracles spell progression when leveling a Prestige Class.

I have a faint memory of you no longer getting access to your combined spell level / access to level 9 spells on merger if you are innate, but that wizards can still do it because they learn via scrolls

something along those lines, but it is confused in my head and I can't find it - if it is just a false memory I'd be happy :D

No, your memory is correct. Merged spell casters were changed. Atleast for spontanous casters. Memorized casters havent changed.

What patch was this change in? I'd like to check Owlcats wording of it since I don't think it was quite as Sin commented above, though certainly close to it.

Most complaints about changes can be traced to 1.3.
Im assuming thats when it happened.

"In case of merging the mythic spellbook and a spellbook of a spontaneous caster, the character now gets an independent progression of known spells in mythic rank ups."

This one? No wonder I didn't register on this, I didn't even own the game yet when it came out.

Thank you guys.
Regretable but I guess an eldritch knight is a class I always wanted to play anyways, so why not.
