All that said, people like the scythe, and i get it. it's cool, even if that one scythe everyone liked got seriously (and rightfully) nerfed. Doesn't have the crit range or reach, but it does have the highest crit multiplier in the game (excluding picks, which are one handed, and I think there's one magical earthbreaker with x4 crit multiplier) . Hard to argue with that.
Greatswords are also nice. Blackwater has one that gives you the choice of several buffs, and Wintersun has one that elimitates some raging effects (which may not help your build).
I would not worry about crit multipliers as much due to the improved critical and mythic critical feats.
That's my opinion anyhow.
My bad. you are correct. I meant glaive.
i always give it to soisel and then never use him in my party.
Else there´s the falchion and the Elven curved blade with the same crit range.
Simply because these give the most additional attacks with the teamwork feats.
But practically i´d say it´s more about style points and i´d go with whatever i´d like to see on the character. It´s not that dealing damage is a huge problem in the game. Imho it could be a difference in reach to have a short one handed weapon or a big two handed one anyways. This way it doesn´t matter if You have a greatsword or a dagger.
I probably wouldn´t go glaive because of Sosiel, and falchion because of his brother.
I'm quote-replying this because Steam's doing that thing where the original message is stuck automated content check. This way, if no one else can see it, they can now.
Anyway, if I give the glaive to Sosiel then never use him, definitely never taking his brother with me. I say falchion away if you so choose.
Most of the two-handed weapons have some good endgame choices. And you can alway use Finnegan while you are getting to those choices. About the only ones I don't like are longspear, heavy pick, and greatclub. And even Longspear has at least one good option.
Longspear has its uses, but if you're not a cavalier, I totally get skipping it.
Oh mate that is such not a simple question. the reason is - there is so much damage in the game - that the weapon itself doesnt matter that much. I would say that your crit chance, critical multiplier and number of attacks matter more. So basically - go with whatever you like and pick Trickster. Trickster swordsaint. And kill everything in the game on unfair in 1 turn. Also get Lunge and Legendary proportions to be able to hit across half the screen with your daggers:)
nobody on this forum, including myself, is qualified to judge coolness.
