Slashing grace and precise strike

Greetings to everyoe, i summon some help.
I have built a fighter/duelist equipped with a bastard sword. I use slashing grace to threat the bastard sword as a one handed piercing weapon for the prerequisites and abilities of the duelist.

But I have noticed that in calculating the damage the precise strike ability does not trigger. If i equip him with a rapier the precise strike works fine.

Since the bastard sword should be considered a one handed piercing weapon thanks to the slashing grace feat, precise strike should work, or i am missing something?


I thank anyone willing to dissipate any doubt on the matter (I searched the forum and i did not find any other post on this combo).


P.S. I know it is a suboptimal build, but i liked the flavor of some sort of Fiore de Liberi duelist.

From my memory you have to hold the weapon in one hand to be eligible for the precise strike ability. By default if you use no shield the weapon is two handed. You can toggle two handed/onehanded by clicking on the appropriate buttons next to the weapon in the inventory screen.

No problem mate. I agree some things in the game are particularly vague or well hidden. Even after over 1400 hours I still learn new things ;)

thats not on you, that button wasn't there until they added it last patch
before that it would autoforce you to 2h when wielding a single weapon

thats not on you, that button wasn't there until they added it last patch
before that it would autoforce you to 2h when wielding a single weapon

Button has been there since as long as i can remember. So not since last patch at all.

double checked, it was added in a patch last year
so 'as long as you can remember' may be a year :P
