Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Enhanced Edition

I think I give up on Camellia's class
I've been playing this game off and on since it came out (finally doing a full run-through since development is finally over). I like Camellia as a character. But good god do I hate the Spirit Hunter class (and probably all shamans). It's the most jack-of-all-trades class ever and fills no particular role.

I really wish there was a role-play friendly class I could respec her to, but her class is so wrapped up in her story. Can anyone help me rationalize a different class? Is a different shaman subclass better? Does a subclass in a different class fit her story?

The best class is the one you create.

Truly: It is YOUR game, have fun:

If you ever find yourself online defending someones opinion about alignment/classes, stop, go play the game. Make your own rules :)

As for Lann and Wenduag.
Demonhunter? How? There were no demons below Kenabres for decades. How did Lann get a class focused on hunting demons without there being any demons to hunt? So that's not really a logical improvement in my opinion.

Same for Mutation Warrior for Wenduag she doesn't really seem interested in alchemy and making concoctions, which is what the Mutation in Mutation Warrior is about.

For me Wendagu is all about power. She craves it and will go for the most direct and obvious source of power. So Warrior is a pretty good fit.

Lann says a few times "I've been training to fight demons all my life." Or something similar. He's basically been living for the moment when he can be a crusader. It's not hard to imagine he just learned everything he could about demons before you met him (old books, stuff he found in the ruins underground, etc). But the point is, he knew from childhood that he wanted to fight demons. So it makes perfect sense.

Wenduag, yeah it's more iffy but mutation warrior because she's a mutant (so RPed that it's not coming from potions but just inside herself). And Slayer because it's the more targetted, "evil" version of fighter. Like a fighter/assassin. But you could go all kinds of ways with her.

Jesus. That's a lot of multiclassing.
That is. I usually go just 2 levels of Instinctual warrior or pure Shaman, though I change her subclass to Shadow shaman and mess around with her stats, I believe I usually start her with 19 DEX and 16 WIS. She is a buffer in my games, so WIS isn't actually her highest priority for me.
Just for giggles, I used the repec mod to change her into a bloodseeker. Fits her so well.
Oh and I did switch her int and wiz scores to fit better.
On that note, are mods up to date and good? Like, toybox and bubble buffs? I haven't tried either yet.

That basically turns you undead though. Or at least, healing is treated like you are undead.

Both are very good and work great. I wish I knew about Bubble Buffs sooner, it takes the worst part of these kinds of games and makes them effortless.

Plenty of inflict wounds scolls also channel energy with daren and soseil wont hurt her thanks to selective channel.

Been following crpg bros youtube channel builds and Camellia is coming along. He has 2 options for her, support and main tank.
Going with support build, early on use hexes. When the party is stronger, use her for long duration buffs and spells that ignore spell resistance or still does damage/effect even with saves. Else, once the main damage dealers occupy the enemy, she dashes in to fish for crits and trigger attacks of opportunities. Though admittedly, you don't see the payoff until level 11 and higher which by then you have to decide if you really want to keep her given the reveal.

Avoiding spells with spell resistance... Do your realize how much you narrow down her spells to do things that may even not have any impact at all.
Not as if she has that much spell slots unless you want to bump her wisdom vs dexterity :)
By the time I finish the long term buffs, she doesn't have that much slots to use. Mass animal buffs (excepting fox's cunning), barkskin, animal growth all last until next rest. Legendary proportions (make the most of the few dinosaur bones) and frightful aspect also last 24 hours.

I do find the guaranteed damage from tidal surge is fine and if any enemies fail their saves it is just gravy :) . Sickening entanglement is good to throw in ambushes. Her DC is not that high but the wide area and the good likelihood some meelee opponents are slowed down gives party time to react. Her initiative is usually pretty high due to her high dex.

Greater Enduring Spells so she can buff party once for 24hrs at beginning of a large level like Drezen. In battle use hexes to debuff enemies. I would cast Evil Eye - Saving Throws and then have Ember cast Slumber Hex on the same turn to take an enemy out of the fight.

Generally I don't use Camellia to deal damage.
Camellia is primarily meant to be a buffer using the Enduring Spells mythic abilities, but she gets quite good in combat once you reach Shaman Lv. 20 due to the Battle spirit giving her the Pounce ability.

Rapiers also have a naturally high crit rate so Improved Critical - Critical Focus -> Staggering Critical -> Stunning Critical is a quite strong line of feats to use for her.

Aren't you level 20 for like 30 mins before the game ends? That seems like a silly metric.

If you have been doing all the side content, you will be close to 20 by the end of Act IV.
