Content question (Demon / Swarm / Gold Dragon)
Hey good people,

For those that played through the mythic paths mentioned in title, is content worth full playthrough?

Quite honestly, Swarm sounds to me like a "no companions, eat everything", and if that's it, I'll probably skip it.
Know Gold Dragon got recent-ish update, so probably more content?

Did Trickster, Lich and doing Azata at the moment.
Aeon probably next, I swear there are Aeon choices every single main and lots of side quests, so want to try it.

Demon sounds interesting on paper, just not sure how well it's implemented, didn't see a lot of dialogue choices for it, but it might be wrong and I'm just not paying enough attention.

So to shorten it:
1. How good is Gold Dragon with extra content?
2. How good are "evil" routes of Demon/Swarm? Proper good with content or "murder-hobo" with little extra content for it?
As in, is it evil with context, or just evil for sake of evil (mustache twirling villain)?

Swarm gives up on the usual companions and plot. But gets to have telepathic banter with Deskari and its very own alternative act 5. Making up for the shortcomings. You will also meet new NPC's and a fresh take on old NPC's. Out of all the late mythic paths the Swarm got the most story content. But yeah, if you're not a fan of the "scorched earth" or "gray goo" kind of evil then this one is probably not for you.

Demon is a fun one. With subplots delivering their own flavor of evil, depening which dialogues you pick. Yes, you can be a berserker with anger issues. Or doing evil more smart.
Your choice. Story wise it is one of the most fleshed out mythic paths in the whole game.

Gold Dragon is very bare bone. While it got an mechanical overhaul in the latest patches... the story content remained untouched. Granted, we got two dragon deities and their interactions. But they function just like any other deity. Honestly, I cannot recommend Gold Dragon. Much less its utterly undercooked Corrupted subpath.

Thank you, might give a chance to Swarm after all, but it will be near bottom of my list.
As long as it's not just "evil = killing everyone", I'm fine with companions leaving.
It's not so much that I'm against scorched earth, more that I dislike killing just because. And I always thought that's all swarm is, just kill everything because swarm.

Gold Dragon sounds like what I heard about Devil, which is to say, nothing good.
Glad to hear about Demon being done well, will try that one after Azata and Aeon.

That's what Swarm is all about. Devour everything, get nutritions and grow in size. Rinse and repeat. Not unlike the hypothetical endlessly self-replicating nanotechnology concept known as gray goo in Sci-Fi. In the crusade management you will be attacked by crusader armies and demon hordes alike. At the same time. It is perhaps easiest to picture it as you becoming the true antagonist of the game instead of Deskari or Areelu. The alternative act 5 will reflect this kind of ultimative evil. Demon, Lich and Devil are small fries in comparison.
