Act 4 might be the biggest fall off a cliff in quality I've ever experienced in a video game
This whole act has been awful, I really don't even know what else to say. I wish I had a single good thing to say about this excruciating part of the game; if I wasn't hell-bent on finishing every game I start I would've uninstalled it by now and played something else.

Act 5 and 6 had better be worth it.

Ahhh, just wait to see what they did with Act 3 in their next game.

Alushynirra is pain to navigate. Fairly short overall once you know where to go.
Aesthetics aside, I agree, worst act in the game.
Act 4 is by far the most brilliant and for me personally the best act of the game and the reason why I'm already in my fourth playthrough.

The only downside to Act 4 is that it's unfortunately far too short!
Why? Is there a lack of futanari's in this game>?<

What you read in his post above does not come from a classic role player, but from an achievement hunter.

Collecting achievements in WotR is significantly more difficult than in most other games. On the one hand, this has to do with its complexity, especially due to the different paths, and, on the other hand, with the fact that many achievements have to be unlocked via separate DLCs.

I'm guessing that someone here realized pretty quickly that collecting achievements in WotR is very time-consuming - this fact must have been a little frustrating. ^^

It's pretty weird to dunk on someone's playstyle because you don't agree with it. Whether someone or not is a role player by their standards is gate keeping.

Wrath has some nasty achievements that only those who have forsaken the sun and touching grass are going to do. Due to the unbalanced nature of the game, some of the challenges are just a nightmare to even consider. Good luck doing the "Playful Mood" achievement when the spawning of the items for the Darkness in Midnight Isles is based on complete chance. This is not the first time Owlcat designed something poorly.

Even then, Act IV is a pain with its needless rotation mechanic. It was cool the first time and adds nothing to the game but extra time on subsequent playthoughs. From a gameplay standpoint, it is doing the same quests with only some variance across mythic paths. It is also a mild annoyance you have to wait for companion quests to become available at some arbitrary time. it also highlights how much faster a game goes when you aren't burdened by overland travel and sinking time into crusade mode.

I don't collect achievements on my first playthrough, I usually play through a game normally first and then go back for achievements.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

One look at his profile is enough to see what I'm talking about.

That still makes no sense. Having a bunch of achievements on an account does not invalidate their opinion. That would be like me making insinuations about your lifestyle because you have 1800 hours in this game. It's silly.

His point was "Act IV is a drop in quality and I don't like it." Somehow you took that as being about achievements because this was your response:

So yes, your response was to look at his profile and mention that (as if it had any effect on the point he was making). It was a weird thing to do.

If someone opens a thread specifically to complain verbosely about Act 4, but then doesn't give a single reason why Act 4 is "the biggest fall off a cliff in quality I've ever experienced in a video game", then it's not "weird" but logical to look elsewhere for a reason for his displeasure.

There is an obvious reason in his profile that I pointed out.

Eh, I would simply take as his opinion (and shrug it off) or ask why. There have been multiple threads complaining about act IV, so it's not like they are the first person with that view of it.

Still, conversations like these are reminders that P&P games do attract people with some varied levels of social awareness. I guess I should state what should be painfully obvious.

Just because a person like achievement hunting does not mean they do it for every game they own. Even if he was doing it for Wrath, it doesn't invalidate his complaints about act IV.

It would be like me telling people to dismiss your opinions on another game because you have 1,800 hours in Wrath. It makes no sense.

So be it !
I love Act 4. Absolutely love it. Highlight of the game. Going into the demons' own house and kicking their asses! Like the drow city in BG2.

I hated Act 3 in RT. I'm here the pure power fantasy and apparently power fantasy isn't grim dark or some s***.

I was worried that I would be the only one here who would move into Alushinyrra with his wall unit... Act 4 is pure magic! :)

PS:
WOW! 5877 hours (!!!) of playing time in WotR! And I always thought I spent a lot of time in this game. ^^ So I'm not the biggest fan after all, not even close... that crown belongs to you alone, colleague! :))

If you don't care about experience you can always look up a guide on where to go and speed run it. I definitely don't love act 4, but after doing it like a handful of times it becomes less frustrating. I definitely think it's one of the lower points of the game in terms of maps, but the abyss is pretty interesting and it's also where the plot starts getting juicy.
