Serpentine bloodline sorcerer Naga form

As a spellcaster is there any reason to use this? gives - dex so touch attacks are worse and bonus strength. Noticed it has a gaze ability that stacks of charisma for its dc? Has anyone made this work other than for flavour? I created a enchanter crossblooded build using fey and serpentine but seems pointless, Less spells and less dc compared to overwhelming mage or seeker for bonus feats.

I did a play through that actually focused on the naga transformation. I did 1 level sorc with the serp bloodline, 6 levels shifter, 5 more sorc then finished out with 8 eldritch knight. Right at MR1 I took the mythic ability to give me the Naga bloodline capstone so I was able to shift coming out of act 1, got 6th level arcane spells for self buffing and ended up with 17 BaB for all 4 attacks. Played it on Core and it did fantastic.

yeah Ive seen crpg has a video on shifter snake but I was wondering if anyone had any success using that form for casting, and the special ability it has with its gaze.

I used it in a lich playthrough I started but never finished. I also took a sorc level plus bloodline ascendance on all companions to have a party of nagas with attitudes. It was pretty cool. You can still go dex based, and dump strength totally at character creation since you get an AC boost and master shapeshifter gives you more stats. Fencing Grace works with bite in that form, and you can use lunge and Combat reflexes if you want to hit enemies in grease. It was super gimmicky but having an entire party of nagas slithering round was kind of funny, especially with the bone spikes spell forgot the name.

doesnt naga form reduce dex though?

If you plan to make a melee naga build, you go for an str build not a dex build. Don't pick weapon finess and use STR for melee touch spells.

While leveling, use other transmutation abilities to up your stats.

If you want to actually make a crazy snake build, make a lv 40 legend crosblooded serpentine/demon bloodrager/sorcerer, to get the hydra and naga forms and the str bonus of the demon. You have the melee advantage of a bloodrager while getting the benefits of the sorcerer bloodline.

You could also try to do a crossblooded dragon/serpentine, and go 18/18/4 dragon discipline to get STR bonus. I don't know if you can also get the mythic bloodline to get demon too, because why not.

Yah but master shapeshifter makes up for it.
