So i just learned that the bandits who kidnapped Daeran were also beheaded, and my character has an option that says my companions also found several heads on their belonging. The thing is I don't remember ever having conversations about severed heads with my companion. Is it a bug or was I not paying enough attention lol

there is no conversation about it with your companions as far as I know... but the severed heads are in your shared stash... so I imagine that their being placed randomly in all your backpacks and such...

Its not a bug. And finding them shows you were paying attention.
