Pet leveling build for the Ice Elemental Pet?
Thinking of making a Winter child Druid merc for lolz and giggles in my current campaign. The druid is not hard to make but the Ice Elemental kind of stumps me when building it. Most of the feats i would normally take just do not work outright or do not work properly for the ice elemental. It is a ranged pet with 1 attack that cannot be increased in anyway, I heard that Rapid shot does not work with it? but am not sure about that. The snowball it throws does not seem to count as a natural attack so if i am not wrong weapon focus, improved crit etc are not going to be useful. From the looks of it, the elemental seems

Currently i am sitting on Point blank shot, Precise Shot, Deadly aim, Improved Initiative, Shake it off as feats for it. Been looking up and down the list and am kinda stumped with what else i can choose for it that makes sense.

Any other suggestions for feats to tack onto it?

You can further improve the blizzard servant by multiclassing the Druid merc as a Winter Witch. The prestige class stacks with Druid for pet levels (and combining spellbooks ofc). As a bonus the Winter Witch's Unearthly Cold and Cold Specialization abilities both affect the pet's Whirlwind of Hail attack.

I was already planning to go 6 winter witch for the winter child. The plan at level 20 would be 12 Winter Child, 6 winter witch, 1 X blooded Sorc (water elemental with white dragon sub bloodline, 1 Lore master.

After searching around, i am planning to build the elemental as a melee tank then polymorph it into a White Dragon. It seems that even as a Dragon the elemental can cast it's Whirlwind ability and can also attack normally even though normally it would not be able to do so lol.

Preliminary testing on DLC 1 shows the theory to work.
