Not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure they do. However, I think you are Feat taxed with Improved Unarmed Strike to get it. Also, they may lose a Natural Attack when it gets overwritten by that Unarmed Strike. I'd have to test it.

Yeah, it was annoying to realize the first time Seelah got her horse, as I was planning to do exactly what @GunStarX suggests and boosting horse's AC from the get go. Instead had to skip Improved Unarmed 'til lvl 5 and then was torn between rushing Crane Style and getting Outflak ASAP. Decisions, decisions.
