Weapon Finesse gives dex to melee attack rolls (rather than str) for all light weapons and a limited selection of other weapons (such as rapiers). Scimitars are not one of those limited weapons, but after taking slashing grace, you should get dex to attack and damage rolls.
Drizzt's build would still kind of work in PF because he's got a lot of fighter levels in there (in-universe he started out as a fighter and only started taking ranger levels once he hit the surface after decades of living and fighting underground) and can probably take Fighter's Finesse.
My halfling uses this combination to wield Dawnflower's Kiss, a +5 Holy Scimitar. I also have the Trickster improved Critical feats, for an 55% crit range with x4 damage.
Edit: tridents are one handed and piercing, but not finesse so *shrug*
edit: which is quite an inviting possibility to respec my SS for~
