Turn-based move actions preventing anything else?

This is an issue I've noticed for a while now; in turn-based mode, whenever I start my turn with a move action that isn't moving (eg. Studied Target, Dimensional Slide, Gather Power etc), it completely prevents the character from using a standard action on that turn. KInda makes a lot of the move actions useless.

Anyone else getting this issue?

Yeah I just assumed I didn't understand that rules. But can confirm if I do a move action like Ranger's Bond I can not do anything else (except move). No single attacks, no standard actions. I assume from what you're saying that's wrong?

Yeah, by the rules and the game mechanics I'm pretty sure you should be able to take a standard action (cast a spell, make a single attack etc).

I've played all turn-based and not had this problem.
Are you using these abilities during a surprise round? Are you trying to make a melee attack that requires a few extra steps of movement?

No to the extra steps of movement (for example Arue cannot attack with her bow after using Ranger's Bond). I will have to double check to confirm whether or not the surprise round is an issue, that's the sort of thing I meant when I said I assumed I didn't understand the rules.

Is there a visual indication you are in a surprise round?

Can confirm that this is happening whenever I attempt it, not just in the surprise round. It's sadly making my Slayer's Dimensional Slide ability a bit useless, as she can't attack after using it.
