Thoughts after finishing the game twice (spoilers obvs)
So, I've done Trickster and Azata - loved both and - to the great mirth of the git gudd crowd no doubt - neither of them was particularly mythic at Threshold. My azata necromancer was feared the entire time (as was Aivu), but had he not been, his spells would have been more useful. My Trickster just had to resort to fighting in melee as his spells were doing nothing significant most of the time - and my main party in general was sucking a lot at this point. Not feared like the Azata one, but hilariously Socothbenoth was.

I love how the mythic paths are completely different and that you can do such crazy, hilarious or cute stuff. The one thing I did better was apparently level up and equip my party well enough that the benched ones could hold their own and defeat the attack at camp (much more aptly than my main party, amusingly), and that's in spite of missing several of them this time round). I had to reload the final battle though - because even without koz-what'shisface, I apparently sucked too much to win (and on the second attempt there was no phase 2 in spite of picking Trickster solution both times ... you have to do it "right" to avoid the fight, it seems).

Now for the things I don't like:

Chapter 5 really drags on. On both runs I found myself off-tabbing constantly and thinking more about my next character than my current one. The difficulty spikes are annoying, Nenio's quest is horrendous and I still despise the puzzles. Trying to rank up the crusade stats required skipping 6-8 months of time, which is utterly tedious and crusade on normal is incomparably easier than the proper game on normal. I'd cleared the map with mostly crappy chapter 3 troops - minus the mongrels who abandoned us - and was then compelled to keep recruiting to rank up military and had tons of high ranking troops sitting around that were never used.

I tried to do the hidden Ending but failed due to - apparently - missing a page of the Story teller's notes. Don't think I'll inflict that upon myself again unless I make a character that can read it w/o the storyteller. Also, trying to get those crystals is a nightmare I do not wish to repeat (sideways glace at Deskari who likes to stand on them)

Why does Nocticula turn up at Threshold even if you killed her as Trickster, and without even bringing that rather significant detail up?

Now that I've exhausted the fun mythics, I don't know what to do next. Suggestions welcome.

Really? I find chapter 5 to short.

Like seriously compare to the meat of chapter 3 it like nothing.

I agree about nemio quest though it the one dungeon that should have been three time shorter.

Hidden ending don't need story tellers notes.
that just give you the blank page to skip all the difficult checks of the lexicon.

Well the lack of content is probably what makes it a slog, especially if you try to rank everything up. Just sitting there skipping days and buying army units is mega tedious, especially once you don't even need them anymore, and I dislike how you are max level at the beginning of the chapter and get all the mythics kinda at once, but can't make use of the last level as it's only there for 1 fight.

I know about the Lexicon, but I couldn't pass the last check - hehe.

I wondered the same for the nocticula event.
The higher level trickster spells though are amazing. Rolling 20s in a row is on certain characters an instant kill option for bosses. Trickster was really easy mode on a rogue. (mobilty 2, world2, persuasion 2, stealth 2 were really making encounters a joke) Investing into talent feits is the key for trickster builds.

I need to focus lol. As soon as I take over Dresden I end up starting a new game with a different character class idea. I have a bunch of runs at that point. :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

One day I will finish all these games and Mythic paths.

I think what kills the game for me is the going back to Kingdom management and having to spend all my money trying to build buildings in Dresden and assuming I am doing it all wrong.

Are you sure you read the dialogue with her carefully? Trickster mentions killing her. Apparently, you did not pay attention to this line.

Well, and she appears in Threshold, because the demon lord cannot be killed the first time.

I have this mental block where I try to "save" things that are in short supply, like the top level spells. The only one I ever used was the halberd ray, and most of the time I didn't use that either *facepalm*

I thought I did. My bad then.

I don't think it matters tbh as long as you pay attention to the buildings that say they don't work if there are other buildings that influence recruitment growth in the settlement. I tend to leave a lot of spaces in Drezen per se, b/c I don't know what they mean by "adjacent", but then end up stuffing it with whatever in the end to get the logisitics stat up.

I assume the adjacent means one side of the building is touching the other so that's where I am going crazy trying to get all the extra HP, Attack, Experience, Ect.. buildings all trying to touch my troop buildings.

I usually build the building that makes all other buildings cheaper first, skip a few days till it's done, then start building the rest.

As I said, I am probably over thinking it.

Ah! I was looking for her to bring it up (and probably lacking attention span due to having reloaded the previous battle about a gazilion times xD )

That's what I assume too, so I leave the gaps in the corners empty hoping to find out at some point those count too, lol. I also never build the money saving ones.

I agree about loving how different the game can be with different mythic paths. And I agree that Nenio's quest took too long. The ending fight to it was the toughest fight in the game for me. I got all the crusade ranks to level 8 and never had to skip time in the entire game. Suggestion for another path would be Aeon. That plays out like "you know what happened, but what if some of those events in the past never happened at all". It is cool to see after finishing the game.
