Unarmed, om nom nom, flurry, natural attacks etc... Could you explain ?
Hi !
I don't understand how to do something nice with unarmed strike and natural attacks.

How can i compete versus "insert prefix(es) here" weapon "insert suffix(es) here" +5 ?
I'm like... ok... take my huu... iron fist of fur(r)y (yeah i'm proud of this one :D) and that bite and... i'm like... what a beautiful 1d3 or 4 !!! ! but... it's reduced by a lot of things.... iron cold, adamantine, DR, etc...
I guess i can add some sneaky dices to these attacks but... ?

So, my questions are... how can i punch like One Punch Man, or like Hokuto no Ken ?
How Flurry of blows really works ? :s

And, how can i om nom nom big bad bosses with my bites and /claws/???/gore ?

It's cool to have a lot of, but it's better if it hits, and if it does some damage after all :D

How can i make these attacks become magicals / holy / ghost / bypasses DR etc... ?

Also, i see a lot of guides with full CHA with 2 points in scaled fist... so... i have to use unarmed strike till the end ? :/

Help v_v

(There is a guide on how to obtain naturals attacks but it's not what i'm looking for)

Amulets of Mighty Fists, Amulets of Agile Fists, and the Magic Fang spells will enchant both unarmed and natural weapons. I THINK Monk Ki strike only works on unarmed but not sure. You can also use the cleric/oracle spell Align weapon and paladin spell bless weapon (available as potions and scrolls) to bypass DR too.

As far as flurry of blows, it's an automatic passive in this game; you can read up more on it here: https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/unchained-classes/MONK-unchained/#TOC-Flurry-of-Blows It also works with monk weapons as you'll see so you can have a few in your weapon sets for those times when fists don't cut it.

i made a nice monk... with pummeling style well upgraded you do full attack each time you charge at someone AND at the same time you try to trip them. add boots of stampede to it... and charge.

I have played through the game mostly using an unarmed character. There's a few things you can focus on; but one is that your die for fist (with improved unarmed strike) is not as big a deal as you think. The character I am playing right now does 1d10+60 damage or something when using Power Attack. You can see in that equation, your Unarmed actual die matters very little.

If you want to maximize your damage, use a combination of these things:

  • High Strength (Higher the better as unarmed is based on STR
  • Greater Magic Fang (Buffs unarmed damage up to +5 (hit)/+5 (damage) at Caster Level 20)
  • Amulet of Mighty Fist (If you use this you don't necessarily need to use Magic Fang)
  • Enlarge Person/Legendary Proportions/Frightful Aspect ; all these buff your strength and upgrade your damage dice
  • Haste (More attacks the better)
  • Level 11 Monk (+2 flurry attacks. At BAB 16, that is 6 attacks with 3 being at full attack bonus)
  • Geinekind with Elemental Barrage (Mythic); this adds Mythic Rank * 1d6 Divine Damage almost everytime you land a hit
  • Sacred Beasts Gloves; adds +1d6 (or 2d6 if evil) slashing damage with each unarmed strike
  • Alchemist Vivsectionist 1; adds +4 str mutagen with +1d6 sneak attack (upgradeable to 2d6 with feat or 3d6 with Mythic Feat)
  • Eaglesoul (+4 sacred bonus to strength)
  • Lich Decaying Touch (+1d6+Mythic Rank damage per Unarmed Strike)
  • Pounce (Nature Oracle 20 or Greater Animal Totem barbarian) with Divine Charge (+1d6 Mythic Rank damage on Charge; stacks with multi-attack from Pounce)

How do the crane style feats interact with natural weapons? Can an animal benefit from them?

My take on one punch man
Azata Kitsune Scaled Fist Monk 17/Oracle 1/Paladin 2

Oracle takes Lame curse and Nature Revelation.
Feats, Dragon Style line, vital strike line, power attack all the regular goodies.

You are stacking your strength as high as you can go, but its certainly not a bad thing to have double your charisma modifier to AC and your charisma modifier to all your saves.

Your Fist does 8d8 damage plus eight times your strength bonus when you mythically vital strike someone which will probably be satisfyingly "poppy"

Wow ! Thanks for all the answers, the link, and the screenshot ! :)

Buuuut
- for flurry of blows where can i see that in the log ? i have to count the numbers of attacks myself? there is no passive to activate (like right-click on crane style for example), is it showed somewhere somehow ?
-for Legendary Proportions u need Dinosaur Bones or something as ingredients... sooo u cant do that each time :/ ?

My first tough was going on a druidzilla with shapemorph a lot but i was mistaken :/

Now i have another questions, but it's for another topic ! :D

Thanks again :)

Flurry of Blows is not shown, but it is relatively obvious because you will see when using Unarmed or Monk Weapons, you will have an additional attack at your full attack bonus for Monk level 1 through 10, and two full attacks at level 11 or higher.

And it is true that Legendary Proportions is fairly limited in usage, however you can scribe scrolls of Legendary Proportions with game characters like Nenio, and those scrolls do not use Dinosaur Bones (weirdly enough).
If you can use Terrifying Aspect, it is pretty good anyways. If you go the Legend Route, you can generally get a caster level high enough to cast it on yourself. Note that this would happen very late into the game, in Act 5, so it is not a huge-thing for most of the game. A brown-fur Transmuter Arcanist can also do this; of course, Terrifying Aspect is a 7th level spell so you won't get it until mid-way through Act 4.

I played most of the game as an Angel Mythic Path Oracle (Nature + Battle) with Weapon Focus: Unarmed using Power Attack with a 1 level in Monk until I got to Act 5. This was fairly effective; and probably out-performs a regular monk in flexibility, partially thanks to Mythic Weapon Focus and access to Weapon Focus and Greater Weapon Focus (Monks do not gain access to Greater Weapon Focus as far as I know, which means they will only get +2 to hit from Mythic Weapon Focus rather than +4)

ok ! Cool to know that about scrolls and nenio :)
The main goal to get 2 levels in scaled fist is to gain that attack and to gain CHA to AC ? BUT it's only if you are unarmed for the attack AND unarmored for the ac ? that's it ?
